How do I use Fasty with Siri and Shortcuts?
Find Fasty actions, build a simple shortcut and understand which actions require Pro.
Find the actions
Open Apple's Shortcuts app on iPhone, create a shortcut and open its editor. Search for Fasty, then choose the action you need. Available actions include starting/finishing a fast, setting a duration goal and getting the current state. The localized action names can differ from the timer's button labels.
Try a current-state shortcut
Add Fasty's Get current fasting state action and run the shortcut. It returns your current state; supported systems can also show a summary snippet. Name your shortcut so you can run that name with Siri.
Starting a fast through an action starts tracking. Finishing ends and saves the current fast, so use the current-state action if you only want to inspect it.
Access depends on the action
The ordinary start, finish, duration-goal and current-state actions do not require Pro. Canceling, changing an active start, setting an exact end-time goal and finding/filtering fasts have separate Pro or qualifying earlier-access requirements. Interactive buttons inside a result snippet also have separate access requirements. See why those actions can open the paywall.
If an action is missing or fails
Open Fasty once, then reopen Shortcuts and search for the app again. Check that you selected the intended action and supplied its parameters. A paid action can require access even when the similar control inside the iPhone app is free.
For scheduled execution, see automations.
