How do I change what the timer shows?

Choose elapsed or remaining time, seconds and days, and understand the eating timer.

Quick toggle on the timer

Tap the large timer text to toggle between elapsed and remaining time. Tap it again to switch back. The label above the timer tells you which mode is showing.

You can also open Statistics → Settings → Appearance & Behaviour and change Timer counts down. This setting also supplies the count direction used by supported widgets and the Watch timer.

In the same screen, Timer shows seconds changes the level of detail, and Show days for long fasts changes how longer durations are formatted.

Once the goal is reached, the timer shows elapsed time in either mode. It keeps counting; the goal is a marker, not an automatic stop. To change that marker, see change your fasting goal.

Why an eating timer appears afterward

After saving a fast with a goal shorter than 24 hours, Fasty shows an eating window based on 24 hours minus the goal. A 16-hour goal produces an 8-hour window. Once it ends, the display switches to time since the last fast. Goals of 24 hours or more do not produce that eating-window countdown.

This display does not schedule or start your next fast. Start it when you want to track again.

If the time itself is wrong

Display settings do not correct a wrong start date. Use the start-time guide while fasting, or edit the saved record afterward.
